A full moon shined on The Spleen's fans who filmed the song No More with their own video cameras. Saga Film Productions' and Studio Élément's technical team managed to transfer shots from 46 different cameras.
"It's going to be a real challenge for us. We will try to work a music video from different video extracts taken on IPhones, Blackberries, cell phones, video cameras, and etc. It is really exciting!" said Vincent Routhier— director of the music video— at the end of the evening. Let's not forget that The Spleen wanted to pay homage to its fans by allowing them to be the cameramen.
According to Saga Film Productions, the video will be ready by October 29th, which is The Spleen's show at the Imperial of Quebec.
"It is going to be a unique experience on next Friday when a huge production team (SagaFilm Productions and Studio Élément) will be on the spot to transfer fans' videos of the song No More. It is a real technical challenge, as there will be videos in different formats (IPhone, Blackberry, cell phone, cameras, video cameras...). Our team is ready. We will have a dozen of computers equipped with the cards needed to transfer the videos. Retrieving data is one thing; doing the montage is another. If we can make it, everybody in the video industry will talk about us. There is no other video that has been done this way."
The Spleen's manager was explaining the important upcoming mission for the band. The band asks for all its fans to come and contribute to this unique moment. Take advantage of the occasion to try to partake in the video, which might be seen by hundreds of thousands of people. Many fans have already confirmed that they will be attending, and the band wants more. Invite your friends and siblings. Experience.
